Murne Rin is one of the strangest heroes in the game of imperial assault. She is a Master of Intelligence and really plays like one.

Murne Rin boasts standard core stats and really strange abilities. Her 12 health and a black die makes her relatively survivable (although a lack of solid defensive XP cards makes this defense slip as you go through the campaign). Her 4 endurance and 4 speed is fine, although the 4 endurance is particularly low for a support hero. False Orders, her first ability, is interesting. It allows her to take perform an action and take a strain. Then she can choose a hostile figure within 3 spaces and with a cost equal to or less than the threat level and attack with that figure. So, a few things. One, this ability is quite restrictive - they have to be close and relatively cheap. Secondly, will using this really be that much better than attacking with her own weapon? As the threat level increases to a point where she can attack with strong weapons, her weapon should at least be a Tier 2. Overall, I don't think this ability is particularly useful - although paired with some upgrades it can become decent. Figurehead, Murne's next abilty, is quite strange but actually really good. While facing a strong class deck like Subversive Tactics, any way to recover strain is welcome. Her starting weapon, Diplomats Blaster, is underwhelming. Although the ability is interesting, I don't think in most missions it will be utilized that much. Unfortunately, in some missions, it will be overpowered (take Realm of the Dark Side, the finale mission in Heart of the Empire. In this mission you could push Emperor Palpatine away from the shard and force him to waste an action on moving - instead of using his force lightning). Overall, I think that Murine Rin's abilities and weapon are interesting - but not necessarily good.
Build #1
As a first build, I'm going to try to make Murine Rin a cheap support hero that you can easily add to a squad. Sonic Bellow, a strange yet useful card, is one of Murine Rin's best XP cards. I'll also add her other 1XP card A Company of Heroes. This card is really helpful because you can get some really powerful allies to help your squad for a small amount of threat (or you could take C-3P0, Chopper, Hera Syndulla or R2-D2 for free!). I like to get someone like Luke Skywalker or Ahsoka Tano who can dish out an incredible amount of damage. After this, I just wouldn't upgrade Murine and run her with 3 other heroes.
Totals: 2 XP
Build #2
This next build is going to focus on how to make Murine's False Order's ability work to the best of it's ability. I like to add Double Agent. This card is utterly brutal and when used effectively can turn this weak ability into a very sharp tool. Next I'll get Waylay. This card makes False Orders a fantastic deal because you can generate up to 3 attacks with this single action. Although it will be quite challenging to set this up, I think any bonus attacks are really powerful and this card can be one of the most powerful in Murine's options. Lastly, I'll get Lead from the Front. To me, this card is hands down way overpowered. Whenever she is attacking or attacking with False Orders, she can gain a powerful bonus for each ready activation token. This means that if she goes first she can attack with +1 damage, Pierce 1, and Recover 1 - all from this one card. This card is really good and should not be overlooked.
Totals: 11 XP
Build #3
As a final build, I'm going to do something fun - Murine Rin is going to become a powerful attacker. This build will simply give her a Pulse Cannon. This powerful weapon boasts an amazing attack potential. Next, I'll get Solidarity. This card is really good. Not only does it allow Murine to recover strain passively, but it also allows her to move passively in many scenarios. I'll cap it off with her most powerful offensive card - Lead from the Front. Using these cards, Murine can be one of the most potent warriors in the game.
Totals: 1250 Credits 7 XP
Overall, I don't recommend Murine. She is a dedicated support with no dedicated role in that category. She seems to be a little convoluted in what exactly she is trying to do. She removes strain, stuns opponents, attacks with opponents, brings in allies, grants bonus attacks, helps with attribute tests and other seemingly random support abilities. She is not good by herself and she doesn't seem to help with one particular thing in her support role category.
