E-11D - Item Card Review

The E-11D is the weapon of the Death Troopers (as indicated by the artwork). It is also available to the heroes and in my opinion, is quite a good buy. It offers many unique abilities and is far more powerful than the standard E-11.

For 700 Credits, you get a red-yellow attack pool at range. With +4 accuracy, this weapon is actually a mid-to-long ranged weapon. It also boasts a surge to 2 damage - which is really good with a yellow die. Unfortunately, this is the only surge, and since you can get up to 3 surges (and get 2 surges 25% of the time) this makes the E-11D a great candidate for Plasma Cell (although this raises the price significantly). Then there comes the ability at the bottom - for 2 strain, you can gain 2 damage power tokens. Normally this is not that good. But if you use it in conjunction with Plastoid Armor it's actually pretty useful. Since heroes always go first, you could use the E-11D ability and then perform a move, clearing all of the strain with Plastoid Armor. Additionally, if you really need some damage, you can use the ability to get it.

This is really and all-purpose weapon. It's pretty good on every hero. There's not really any hero that will use it significantly better than others. I would recommend this weapon for all-around use and I think any hero that likes a ranged weapon would love this one.
