Grand Admiral Thrawn is a villain from the TV Show Star Wars Rebels and has come to Imperial Assault as a commander/warrior for the Imperial Faction. He boasts a strong attack and many tacticle abilities that will help you outwit and outmaneuver your opponents.

Thrawn is a unique figure and costs 6 points. He has a powerful blue-green-yellow attack with an automatic +2 accuracy, double surge to 3 damage and surge to Pierce 1. He has 9 health and 4 speed to go along with a black defense die. But his abilities is where he goes from good to amazing. First he has Long-Laid Plans. This ability states, "At the start of your activation, distribute among friendly figures different ? (power tokens) equal to the current round number. This ability is quite amazing and means that Thrawn is really a fantastic commander. When you compare this to Ko-Tun Feralo's Arms Distribution, it becomes apparent who is better. Thrawn's next ability is at least equally as good. Strategize reads, "At the start of your activation, look at the to Command card of each player's deck. You may discard one of those cards." This can be used in multiple ways. First off, extremely powerful command cards (Son of Skywalker, ect.) for your opponent can be discarded. This is really good and can change the tide of many battles. Additionally, if you have a command card that you don't love, you could discard your own in search of a better card. Both of these abilities seem thematic and accurate to Thrawn's abilities. Just be sure to keep him away from the major fighting because he is fragile and not survivable. Also, make sure to take Foresee. Other than that, enjoy this amazing commander/soldier.
