Implementing 2.0

If you've read my wish list for Imperial Assault Second Edition, you know that I want a lot of changes to be made. I would recommend that FFG take the X-wing model and have existing players convert their game to the second edition. For Imperial Assault, I would make this a lot simpler. The game would sell as a $100 MSRP Core Set box. This box would include new character sheets, unit cards, class cards, item cards, condition cards, supply cards, reward cards, Agenda cards, tokens, etc. In order to play the game, you would need to have the existing miniatures, but the Core Set would come with everything else. The Core Set would also include 1 Campaign Guide (to be supported with the new Campaign Building app). This Campaign Guide would be far more meaty than all of the others in Imperial Assault now. I'm thinking a hardback book with 100+ pages. This would be enough to encompass all current campaigns in one easy-to-use book.
Next, Imperial Assault would expand with Campaign Guides. These would MSRP for about $20 and expand your mission variety significantly. I really don't think any more expansion boxes are nessisary. Yes, I would love to see another announcement for more units, but I think if campaigns continued to be new and fresh, a need for new units would be alleviated.
All and all, I want the transition to Imperial Assault Second Edition to be cheap, easy and expandable so it will attract more attention in the board game market.
